Many Nintendo fans are wondering when we’re going to learn about the Switch’s successor, but it’s clear Nintendo isn’t quite ready to jump to that proposition yet. Who can blame them really, when the Switch continues to impress in the sales department. That said, Nintendo does recognize that the pace is slowing, and a further drop is pretty much impossible to avoid.

During Nintendo’s investor Q&A, a question came up about Nintendo’s revised sales projections. Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa opened up about the Switch’s sales momentum, saying that while things will surely continue to slow, Nintendo and other developers still have some software up their sleeves. Switch is going to come so close to becoming the best selling hardware but I feel it will fall just shy of the ds and ps2
