Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash producer reveals the one character they wish could have made the cut

Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash is available now on Switch, and it features 16 playable characters that fans know and love. 16 characters makes for a decent-sized roster, but of course, it doesn’t represent everyone that appears in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime/manga. While you might have a favorite that didn’t make the cut, you’re not alone, as the game’s producer has a pick as well.
In an interview with Siliconera, Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed Clash producer Misaki Kai reveals the one character they wanted to included by couldn’t. The reasons as to why this character didn’t appear in the game aren’t revealed, but it’s clear Kai would like the chance to remedy the situation in the future.
For me… it was Junpei Yoshino.
We mentioned our basis in our character selection in the previous question, but Junpei Yoshino was a very important character for Yuji Itadori, as he has influenced him in his way of life as a Jujutsu Sorcerer. For various reasons, we were not able to implement him in this game.
However, I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to make that battle happen someday.
