Shantae Advance physical GBA releases detailed

Back when Shantae Advance was first revealed, we learned that it would be getting a physical GBA release. Now, months after the announcement, we finally know what packages will be up for grabs.

Limited Run Games has revealed two different physical options for Shantae Advance, and they both go up for pre-order on February 23rd, 2024. First up is the standard physical release, which nets you a GBA cartridge and game box for $60. Along with that comes the Collector’s Edition for $100, which packs in the following:

• Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution Original Soundtrack

Filling in the gaps between the original Shantae (2002) and Shanate: Risky’s Revenge (2010), Shantae Advance: Risky Revolution sees Shanate protecting Sequin Land from a twisted new plot orchestrated by her nemesis, the pirate Risky Boots. Using a secret subterranean device, Risky is able to rotate and rearrange the continent, plunging it into chaos and giving her more costal cities to plunder. Fortunately, by harnessing this technology and the knowledge of the Relic Hunters, players will be able to turn the tables on Risky, giving Shantae new paths through environments and chance to thwart the villain’s scheme.
