Smash Bros. Ultimate seemed like it was done-and-dusted for quite some time, but then Nintendo hit us with a few rounds of new Spirits over the last month+. After that, it seemed like the release of the Sora amiibo would be the final bit of content for the game, but once again Nintendo has announced that something else is in the works.

Once March 1st, 2024 rolls around, Smash Bros. Ultimate players will be able to take place in an amiibo Tag Tournament mode. This was announced by the official Smash Bros. X account, and the message was accompanied by the image you see above.

As far as the specifics on the amiibo Tag Tournament mode, it seems we’ll have to wait for more details. With March 1st sneaking up on us quickly, expect Nintendo to share some insight on this mode in the very near future.
