Gravitar: Recharged heads to Switch on June 2nd, 2022
Circling Switch's orbit soon
We’ve been covering Gravitar: Recharged for a few weeks now, but we didn’t have any information on release date. Today, Atari has revealed that we don’t have to wait much longer for the game. Gravitar: Recharged officially lands on Switch on June 2nd, 2022, and it’ll be priced at $10.
Gravitar: Recharged is the latest installment of Atari’s Recharged line, which aims to bring back classic Atari titles with all-new gameplay and features. So far, the Recharged lineup includes Breakout, Asteroids, Centipede, Black Widow, and Missile Command. All of these titles are also priced at $10 each.
Gravitar: Recharded, a 21st-century reimagining of a 1980s hidden gem, was previously announced for Switch, but today we get a brand-new gameplay trailer to check out. You can have a look at that above.
Enter the cockpit of a vessel that’s been sent to the far reaches of space, tasked with exploring new planets and finding their way home. Gravitar: Recharged shifts from the vibrant, neon-vector art styles of the previous Recharged titles and takes a more pastel, painterly approach in showcasing the great vastness of the cosmos.
In Gravitar: Recharged, engage with the incredibly ambitious title that takes the “rotate, thrust, and fire” gameplay of Asteroids and Space Duel, combined them with the gravity mechanics of Lunar Lander, and added the intrigue of deep space exploration.
