ConcernedApe has announced that Stardew Valley, their juggernaut 2016-released country-life simulation RPG, has sold 30 million copies across all platforms as of February 2024. The last sales update on Stardew Valley came back in March 2022, when ConcernedApe revealed that the game had reached the 20 million sold mark.

It’s unknown exactly how many of the 30 million copies sold belong to the 2017 Nintendo Switch port, but what we do know is that 19 million copies have been sold on the PC alone. That leaves Switch, Xbox, PlayStation and mobile devices to fight for the remaining 11 million units. There’s no doubt the Switch does a fair share of the heavy lifting for that figure!

Earlier today, ConcernedApe took to social media to announce that the PC version of Stardew Valley’s Ver. 1.6 update is set to launch on March 19th, 2024. It was mentioned that the console version of this update will see release “as soon as possible” after the PC launch. Hopefully that means Switch fans will also be enjoying Ver. 1.6 before Summer rolls around.
