Apex Legends continues to see considerable growth 3 years after launch
Hasn't even hit its Apex yet
While Fortnite may still be the undisputed king of battle royales, EA and Respawn are still seeing a lot of success with Apex Legends.
EA shared their full-year results for fiscal year 2022, and there was a lot of good news to share on the Apex Legends front. EA was quick to tout a bunch of stats that show just how well the game is doing, and you can see a quick recap of the bigger points below.
- 40 percent increase in net bookings year over year
- “highest engagement” ever seen since its 2019 launch
- EA saw a 21% increase in net bookings year-on-year of $7.5 billion
EA said that 71% of their net bookings came from live service games, but it certainly seems like Apex Legends is making up the bulk of that results.
