Penny’s Big Breakaway has been on Switch for a couple of weeks now and its been wooing players with its colorful, speedy platforming. While the title is pretty technically sound, there are some areas that could use a bit of sprucing up. Thankfully, a patch is on the way and it’s sure to please the technically-minded Switch owners out there.

Evening Star Studios’ Christian Whitehead has announced that the Switch version of Penny’s Big Breakaway will soon be getting a patch that offers up some tantalizing options for smoother gameplay. Those who want the Switch pushed to its limits can go with the 60 fps framerate unlock, which means the game will run buttery-smooth in some areas. For those who’d rather keep the framerate locked, an anti-aliasing option will be available, which gives a smoother picture overall.

We don’t have an exact date for this patch just yet, but it should be dropping any day now. When it becomes available, we’ll be sure to let you know and also offer up the complete patch notes, as there’s bound to be other bug fixes and tweaks included. You can see the patch notes included in the Steam version, but obviously some of those won’t apply to Switch. Still, if you’re interested, you can read through them here.
