Square Enix Music has been sharing a decent amount of covers lately, and that trend continues with yet another video. In the clip above, you can hear a piano cover of “Wind Scene” from Chrono Trigger, as performed by Kumi Tanioka.

Kumi Tanioka is a Japanese composer and pianist. Born in Hiroshima, Japan, she graduated from Kobe University with a degree in musical performance, and began working as a video game composer in 1998. Tanioka worked on 15 different titles for Square Enix before going independent in 2010. (h/t Wiki)

The above version of Wind Scene was both recorded and mixed by Mai Kondo, with the original composition coming from Yasunori Mitsuda. The recording session itself was held at Landmark Studio.
