The Nintendo 64 is remembered fondly by many, but chances are if you still have one, it’s probably disgusting. In this episode of This Old Tech, IGN shows us how to disassemble, clean, and restore your broken down and dirty Nintendo 64.

It’s amazing that these old systems continue to work years, if not decades after their parent companies moved on from them. You no doubt have an old system or two that still works, but perhaps it’s not as spry as it used to be back in the day. Before it gets a bit too old and out of repair, taking some time to spruce things up can ensure that system will live on for generations to come.

You never know when you’ll want to fire up a retro system to relive a game from your childhood, or perhaps play a title you never got the chance to back in the day. Put in a little time and effort now to keep your legacy platforms in tip-top shape and rid yourself of any potential regret years down the road!
