Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge has been an absolute triumph, capturing the spirit and style of Konami’s classic TMNT beat’em-ups while offering plenty of new twists and turns. The game has been a hit with critics and fans alike, and of course, now everyone who’s gobbled up the game is curious to know if more is on the way.

While there’s already been some DLC released for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, the Turtles have a very deep history to explore. There’s so much to pull from that another round of DLC or a fully-fledged sequel seems more than opportune. Turns out the team behind the game feel exactly the same way.

In an interview with Prankster101, Yannick Belzil, the Narrative Designer at Tribute Games, opened up about the team’s interest in doing more with the TMNT brand. The devs would absolutely be down for another crack at the franchise, but that decision is out of their hands. The only way to pave the way for more is for fans to scoop up the first game and its DLC.

We’d love to do more DLC, or maybe even a sequel, but that’s not something that’s on the cards right now. We’re a small team, so we’ve put all of our effort in the existing DLC. And it has to be successful for there to be a sequel, or even new DLC. And that’ll depend on the fan reaction, and of course the commercial success of the DLC. We’d love to do more of it, because we really love the Turtles, and fans seem to have enjoyed the game, and there’s still an appetite for the Turtles, so we’d love to keep working in that world. But again, that’ll depend on the fans.

Do a sequel. I'll buy it.
