We’re almost into April of 2024, but the awards for games that came out in 2023 aren’t done yet! Two more awards shows are coming up, and both of them have seen fit to spotlight a handful of Switch-related games.

The 2024 Hugo Award nominees have been revealed, and 3 Switch games are up for Best Game or Interactive Work. The Hugo Awards, first presented in 1953 and presented annually since 1955, are one of science fiction’s most prestigious awards. The Hugo Awards are voted on by members of the World Science Fiction Convention (“Worldcon”), which is also responsible for administering them.

The nominees for Best Game or Interactive Work are as follows:

  • Alan Wake 2, developed by Remedy Entertainment, published by Epic Games
  • Baldur’s Gate 3, produced by Larian Studios
  • Chants of Sennaar, developed by Rundisc, published by Focus Entertainment
  • DREDGE, developed by Black Salt Games, published by Team17
  • The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, produced by Nintendo
  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, developed by Respawn Entertainment, published by Electronic Arts

The Nebula Awards have also revealed their 2024 nominees, and one of the categories is for Game Writing. The Nebula Awards annually recognize the best works of science fiction or fantasy published in the United States. The game nominees for the 2024 Nebula Awards are as follows:

  • The Bread Must Rise, Stewart C Baker, James Beamon (Choice of Games)
  • Alan Wake II, Sam Lake, Clay Murphy, Tyler Burton Smith, Sinikka Annala (Remedy Entertainment, Epic Games Publishing)
  • Ninefox Gambit: Machineries of Empire Roleplaying Game, Yoon Ha Lee, Marie Brennan(Android)
