Nippon Columbia has announced that they’re bringing the battle simulation game Dragon Saikyou Ou Zukan: Battle Colosseum to the Switch in Japan. The title will release on July 4th, 2024 for 6,380 yen.

If various dragons from mythology and folklore around the world were to compete in battle, which one would come out on top? This game is a dragon battle tournament that answers that very question. The player will summon and train various dragons and aim to win the battle tournament to decide the strongest dragon.

24 unique dragons of various sizes appear in the game, each with different body types, attributes, and areas of origin. Each dragon also has a mutated strain, creating a grand total of 48 dragons.

Develop Your Strengths or Make Up for Your Weaknesses? How You Train Your Dragons is Up to You! One of this game’s greatest strengths is how you train your dragon according to its abilities, including stamina, attack, defense, agility, hit accuracy, and evasion rate.

During battle, the player must decide which attacks their dragon will use and how it will defend based on the amount of “Mana” accumulated, which is required to activate a dragon’s attack or defense skills. The decisions the player makes in battle will determine whether they win or lose—such as when to activate their ace in the hole “Support Card” (boosts attack power, defense power, etc.).

Dragon Saikyou Ou Zukan: Battle Colosseum supports online and offline play, allowing players to enjoy battles between their dragons both against friends and other players online. There are three battle formats: one-versus-one, three-versus-three, and three-versus-three (tournament). You can choose which tournament class to compete in based on your dragon’s rank.
