Hatch Tales to include over 2,000 Chicken Wiggle user-created stages

Back in September 2023, Atooi announced that Hatch Tales would be coming to Switch on March 28, 2024. Hatch Tales was originally crowdfunded via Kickstarter all the way back in 2018, but has yet to be released. Unfortunately, Atooi hasn’t been able to accomplish their goals quite yet, recently revealing that the title has been pushed to June 21st, 2024. Now we know it’ll include some extra content for fans of Chicken Wiggle as well.

Chicken Wiggle originally launched for the 3DS and allowed players to create and upload their own stages. Atooi has announced that while 3DS online play has been shuttered by Nintendo, those uploaded Chicken Wiggle stages will live on through Hatch Tales. When Hatch Tales launches, you’ll have access to more than 2,000 Chicken Wiggle user-created levels.

Hatch Tales is a 2D platformer based on Atooi’s Chicken Wiggle on the 3DS. The main character is a flightless bird named Hatch, who uses his grappling hook to get across obstacles. Stay tuned for more info, which should be coming in sometime before June.
