Bethesda says an Elder Scrolls TV show isn't in the works
Not now, and maybe never
Bethesda is once again the talk of the town thanks to the Fallout TV series that just premiered on Amazon. It seems this show is continuing the recent trend of high-quality game-to-show adaptations, as the show is currently sitting at 92% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes for critics, and an impressive 85% fresh for audiences. Of course, with this success, many are wondering what other adaptations are in the works at Bethesda.
Hoping to see an Elder Scrolls TV show make its way onto the small screen? As of right now, it doesn’t seem like there’s any chance of that happening. IGN had the chance to talk to Bethesda’s Todd Howard, and he confirmed that no such project is happening, nor does it seem likely at this point.
“I don’t know. There’s nothing in the works. Everybody asks, like, about Elder Scrolls, and I keep saying no also. And I would approach those - I’ll probably say no. You never know if someone’s gunna click.”
