Jeremy Parish takes a deep dive into the Game Boy with Game Boy Works: Vol. 2

Let’s take a second look at Nintendo’s second game console. Yes, Jeremy Parish already published a Game Boy system retrospective…about 10 years ago. However, this new video covers the U.S. launch of the system rather than the Japanese.

Obviously this video touches on a lot of the same material, but from a different angle… and with the added insight and detail that Jeremy has gleaned in a decade of putting together weekly retrospectives on systems from this era.

The Game Boy may have ceased production decades ago, but dedicated hobbyist devs continue to keep the platform alive with new games, as do boutique retailers. No matter how far away Nintendo moves from the Game Boy, it’s clear gamers aren’t ready to move on!
