Earth Day event announced for Pikmin Bloom

Established on April 22nd, 1970, Earth Day marks the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement. To this day, Earth Day continues to be a great reminder to raise awareness of the need to protect the Earth’s natural resources for future generations. On Pikmin Bloom, Niantic is holding a nature-themed event to inspire all of us to leave this Earth a better place than we found it! The Pikmin Bloom Earth Day 2024 event runs April 22nd 0:00 to 30th 23:59 local time.

During the event, Pikmin Bloom will give away Huge Seedlings for nature-themed Decor Pikmin based on the amount of flowers planted by our global community! Huge Seedlings will be awarded to all users when we collectively hit the milestones below. At the end of the event, Niantic will announce the total amount of flowers planted globally! You can contribute with something as simple as perhaps taking the longer route on occasion to plant a few extra flowers.

Each Huge Seedling awarded during the Earth Day event features a Decor Pikmin wearing something related to the earth and nature. Take this as an opportunity to think about our environment!

• 3 billion flowers planted: Huge Seedling for Acorn Decor Pikmin -6 billion flowers planted: Huge Seedling for Shell Decor Pikmin
• 10 billion flowers planted: Huge Seedling for Present Sticker (Gold) Decor Pikmin (White Pikmin)

This Present Sticker Decor Pikmin is our way to commemorate the Earth Day Event! Achieving this huge milestone is something only possible if all come together and contribute, no matter how little! The hope is that during this event, many users will make the conscious choice to walk instead of driving when possible, with the aim of being just a little kinder to this planet we live on.

• There are no specific requirements for which flowers to plant. All types of flowers count towards the goal.
• Seedlings will be awarded to all users the day after each milestone has been reached. This is based on Japan Standard Time, you may receive the seedling at a different time of day depending on your location.
• Awarded Seedlings must be received by May 6th, 2024. Please launch the app before then in order to receive the Seedlings.
• With the exception of the Present Sticker (Gold) Decor Pikmin, the color of the Pikmin you receive will be randomized.
