The live-action Knuckles spin-off series premieres on Paramount+ today, and the series bridges the gap between the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 films. This new live-action series will follow Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a fun, action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade Whipple (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.

While Knuckles is obviously the focus of this Paramount+ show, Wade Whipple gets a ton of screen time as well. Whipple is brought to life by actor Adam Pally, and he spoke on the actors who helped inspired him in an interview with [Polygon](https://www.polygon.com/24140560/knuckles-cast-adam-pally-kid-cudi-interview.

“That is such a high compliment. There’s not a Farley move I haven’t done to my family or a Mike Myers reference I haven’t made to my cousins, so I think knowing all that stuff and loving it so much… It’s so ingrained in who I am. It’s probably annoying to people that I reference those things so much.”
