Nintendo has come up with quite an interesting concept in Japan. You are now able to gift a digital game or DLC through a special eShop card that you can purchase and then physically give to a family member or friend.

The way it works is that you first purchase the “Gift Set”, Nintendo then sends you the card with a little package box to put it in. Once you do, you can then give it to whoever you want. If you choose to do this, the person who receives the “Gift Set” can download the software by scanning the QR code on the back of the card with a smart device or by entering the download number on the eShop on their Switch.

The ‘Gift Set’ is now available in Japan and works for 24 different titles, including DLC. The price of the Gift Set is the price of the software plus 550 yen.

What do you think? Would you like to give this to someone you know? Let us know below!
