Nintendo has released another firmware update for the Switch, but this one is rebootless. That means you don’t need to download and restart your Switch, as the update is downloaded and updated in the background.

As is always the case, Nintendo doesn’t make announcements about their rebootless updates, nor do that share patch notes. That said, dataminers are quick to jump on these rebootless updates and dig around to see what they include.

Switch firmware update 18.1.0 seems like the only thing it does is add a new word to the banned-words list in Japan. This time around, “sixty-nine” (シツクスナイン) has been blocked from usage.
