KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series 'Switch vs. PS1' comparison

KLONOA Phantasy Reverie Series is coming to Switch early in July, and it includes the first two Klonoa games in one package. The first game, Klonoa: Door to Phantomile, originally released on the PS1 all the way back in 1997! Just how different does that version look compared to the Switch outing? Klonoa: Door to Phantomile is a side-scrolling platformer viewed from a 2.5D perspective. The player moves the protagonist, Klonoa, along a path in a two-dimensional fashion, but the game’s surroundings are rendered in three dimensions. This allows the path followed to curve and for the player to interact with objects outside of the path.
