The XIII Remake was announced for Switch some time ago, but fans of the classic FPS have been waiting patiently ever since for more details. Thankfully, we now know the wait is almost over. Microids has confirmed that XIII Remake is coming to Switch on Sept. 13th, 2022. Microids teamed with French studio Tower Five (Lornsword: Winter Chronicle) to get the Switch version of XIII Remake up to snuff.

XIII Remake launched on a number of other platforms already, but it was marred by all sorts of technical issues and hiccups. Tower Five came in to set things right, and they’ve stated that the work they did on fixing the other versions helped them better the Switch version as well. You can see the fruits of their labor in the Switch gameplay video below.

In XIII Remake, you wake up injured and with amnesia on the shore of an east coast beach. The only clues about your identity are the number XIII tattooed on your collarbone and the key to a locker. Despite the memory loss, you realize not everything has been forgotten as you seem to have amazing reflexes comparable to a well-trained government agent. You will soon be on your way to uncover your past, discovering in the process your role in the murder of the US president and unveiling the most astonishing conspiracy in the country’s history.
