Eastward physical release outsells expectations, says publisher

Eastward came to Switch some time ago, but the physical version just went up for sale back in late May. Turns out plenty of fans were willing to hold out on the game for a physical release, or went in for a double-dipping, as sales have been quite exceptional.

iam8bit is the team behind Eastward’s physical release, and while they didn’t share specific sales data, they did say that the launch outsold their expectations. That makes a ton of sense, as the boxed copy of the game has been incredibly hard to find in recent weeks. The good news is that relief is on the way.

iam8bit has announced that more copies of Eastward will be in-stock at major retailers in the ‘next few weeks.’ When we spot those copies popping up, we’ll be sure to let you know.
