BlizzCon is traditionally an event where Blizzard updates fans on new content for released projects, reveals brand-new games, and generally updates the community on all things Blizzard. The company hasn’t hosted a live-event BlizzCon in awhile due to COVID-19, but it seems like the tradition make start up once again in 2023.

In an interview with the LA Times, Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra hinted a return to form in 2023. You can see his comments on the matter below.

“We previously announced we’re taking a pause on BlizzCon while we reimagine it for the future but do want to return to a live event that enables us to celebrate the community. We recently hired a new leader of BlizzCon, April McKee, who is hard at work on that plan. … We are committed to bringing back BlizzCon in 2023.”
