Game System

MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA incorporates systems that allow even new fighting game players to enjoy stylish battles right from the start. It does this using the “Rapid Beat” combo technique to produce moves from button mashing, as well as other systems like “Moon Skills” that deliver enhanced special moves with simple commands.

It also features high-powered specials in “Arc Drive” and “Last Arc” moves, which have distinctive, dynamic animations.

It also retains the “Shield” techniques to block enemy attacks, aerial battles, and other traditional features familiar to fans of the “MELTY BLOOD” series. Plus new systems and characters create all-new dynamics and skills to perfect, for a fresh approach to enjoying “MELTY BLOOD”!

The game features rollback netcode to ensure stable connections for online play worldwide, and supports online competitive play events and e-sports development.

Four New Character Releases in the Works!

We are currently planning to release two new playable characters for “MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA” in summer 2022, followed by two more playable characters in winter 2022/2023.

New character stories and in-game systems will also be added alongside the playable characters.

Free updates to balance battles and expand features are also planned separately.

US Tournament Scheduled!

In collaboration with Eliphant, we are planning to sponsor the “MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA Official Tournament: United States hosted by Eliphant” for players in the US.

The winner will receive prize money as well as a commemorative plaque engraved with their name and the date, with special artwork made for this tournament.

Furthermore, participants will receive Limited Color Palettes for character customization, and participants placing in the best 8 in qualifying rounds will receive Limited Customize Icon presents exclusively available for this tournament.
