Square Enix reveals Romancing Saga-themed manhole covers and trains for Japan
Romance is in the air...and the sewers
Square Enix has revealed not one, but two different promotions meant to celebrate the Romancing SaGa franchise. First up is a tie-in with Japan’s Saga prefecture that will see Romancing SaGa-themed trains from JR Kyushu. This collab will start at the Saga Station in the southeast, and includes sixteen different train cars with franchise art from series illustrators Tomomi Kobayashi and Satoshi Kuramoch. These trains will start their runs on Oct. 8th, 2022.
Along with that, Square Enix will also be installing 10 manhole covers with Romancing SaGa-themed art. You can see the entire lineup above, which will be installed on Oct. 8th, 2022. There were actually 17 Romancing SaGa-themed manhole covers already installed in the Saga Prefecture, so this will raise the total to 27 all together.
