A few days back, Pokémon Co. revealed that Pokémon UNITE was getting a brand-new map, Theia Sky Ruins. Of course, this is more than just a new location to play the same game, and Pokémon Unite producer Masaaki Hoshino was eager to share some of the gameplay changes this location introduces.

Hoshino spoke to Comicbook.com to get into specifics on Theia Sky Ruins and how it spices up gameplay, and his answer was two-fold.

“What’s different with the new stadium from Remoat Stadium is, of course, the wild Pokemon is different. There’s more wild Pokemon in the early stage as well as more in the middle range, so that’s going to be different.

While Zapdos kind of disables the opposing team’s goals, Rayquaza is going to allow the team to have easier goals by scoring faster, as well as higher attack. It’s more of a buff than a de-buffer on the opposing team.”

These are some considerable changes for the world of Pokémon UNITE, and it seems they may just be the start. Hoshino noted that the team is considering adding more popular features from other MOBAs, but didn’t get into specifics on what could be implemented.
