Octopath Traveler II development 90% complete

Octopath Traveler II was one of the big surprises from Nintendo’s recent Direct, and the fact that it’s releasing on February 24th, 2023 was the biggest shock of all. That must mean the game is incredibly far in development already. Thanks to a recent feature in Famitsu, we now know exactly where the game is at development-wise.
The latest issue of Famitsu includes a spotlight for Octopath Traveler II, and within is a comment from Square Enix about the game’s progress. You can read their exact message to fans below.
We’re excited to finally announce to everyone that Octopath Traveler II’s development is 90% complete. We are currently in the last stretch, so we ask that you wait just a little bit more. Keep an eye out for further information coming out at a later date.
With Octopath Traveler II at the 90% mark with roughly 5 months to go, it seems Square Enix is in incredibly good shape with this one. We don’t want to jinx things, but it seems like there’s practically no chance for a delay from the Feb. 24th, 2023 release. That said, keep all fingers and toes crossed!
