RUMOR: Game Boy Mega Man games coming to Switch Online
The Grey Bomber
Nintendo’s been making a conscious effort to plug up leaks as of late but if rumors are to be believed this latest leak might be of Nintendo’s own doing.
A Reddit user by the name of Pokemigas has seemingly spotted a mess up on the Portuguese Nintendo Switch eShop.
As seen above, a new banner advertising the Nintendo Switch Online Game Boy Library seems to have accidentally gone live showcasing that many Game Boy Mega man games are on the way. Reportedly the banner was only up for an hour before being taken down.
Nintendo has secured other third party titles such as Castlevania Legends for the Game Boy library so it doesn’t seem too far fetched that Mega Man might be next to make the jump. Considering the impending Nintendo Direct, it would certainly make sense to announce all these titles during the presentation.
That said, take this all with a grain of salt. An image like this could very easily be faked especially considering that only one person is reporting on this supposed oversight. Given that Nintendo’s June Direct is coming any day now it’s safe to assume we’ll have our answer sooner rather than later.
Kotobukiya revealed figure prototypes based on Adol Christin and Dana Iclucia from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana via their Official Japanese Twitter/X account. Both figures will have the same 1/7 scale and Adol’s figure is already painted and will be up for pre-order on June 18th.
Dana fans will unfortunately have to wait a bit longer as her figure is still unpainted but nevertheless you can see images of both figures down below. We will of course let you know when Dana’s figure is ready for pre-order.

Nintendo acquires Shiver Entertainment from Embracer (UPDATE)
The group has been responsible for many Switch ports
Today Nintendo of Japan have announced that they have acquired Shiver Entertainment from Embracer. In today’s modern games industry acquisitions are abundant by all of the major publishers save for Nintendo so whenever they do actually lay down the cash to snap up a studio it always turns heads.
While Shiver Entertainment did develop Scribblenauts Showdown in the past the team’s main focus has been on porting third party titles to the Switch such as Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat 11, and Mortal Kombat 1. According to Nintendo’s notice of acquisition Shiver’s directive will remain very much the same under their banner with the goal being to “secure high-level resources for porting and developing software titles.” You can read their full statement down below.
Purpose of Acquisition
Shiver is a video game development company that develops software for multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch. Since its establishment in 2012, Shiver has partnered with publishers and developers through commissions for large scale title developments, and recently, has worked on porting and developing software titles such as Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1.
Nintendo will acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of Shiver and make it a wholly owned subsidiary. By welcoming Shiver’s experienced and accomplished development team, Nintendo aims to secure high-level resources for porting and developing software titles. Going forward, even after it becomes a part of the Nintendo group, Shiver’s focuswill remain the same, continuing commissions that port and develop software for multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch. The Acquisition will be completed pending satisfaction of all relevant customary closing conditions.
UPDATE: Shiver has since updated their website with a new banner at the bottom that names the company as a “wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo.” You can find the website here.
Geoff Keighley would love for Nintendo to be a big part of Summer Game Fest
Wanting Best for the Fest
Ever since Death started knocking on E3’s door Geoff Keighley has attempted to fill the gap left by the show’s absence with his own Summer Game Fest. The event has run yearly since 2020 and while Geoff has managed to wrangle Sony and Microsoft into making an appearance at the show Nintendo has of now not made the same commitment.
When asked about this missing gap in the lineup at a Summer Game Fest Q and A on Twitch Keighley made the unsurprising statement that he would love for the Big N to be a big part of the show, though he does understand that they tend to stick to their own schedules.
“Never really had Nintendo be a big part of Summer Game Fest yet, we always hope that it’ll be the right year for them to come in and get involved, but it hasn’t happened yet…It’s nice to have a couple announcements from companies, but it’s nice to spread things around across different places…they kind of need their own thing to support all that stuff…it’s an always evolving landscape…Summer Game Fest is you know, is not just a two hour show, it is really is a whole sort of time period…we don’t lay claim to those events, those companies are doing those events but we try and bring everyone together so the audience can sort of have a journey through all these announcements”
Given the fact that Nintendo was one of the first companies to abandon E3 press conferences in favor of going all in on the Nintendo Direct format it’s hard to imagine them ever joining the festivities. That said, Nintendo does make albeit infrequent announcements at Keighley’s other event, The Game Awards, so it’s possible Nintendo could start getting more involved with Summer Game Fest in the future; especially with a new console to promote on the way.
Diesel Legacy: the Brazen Age "Fritz" Hype Trailer
On the Fritz
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age was revealed back in June on the PC Gaming Show, introducing a brand-new style of fighting game from Modus Games. Developed in-house by Modus Studios, this completely fresh take on the genre sees players engaging in 2v2 matches within an innovative 3-lane system against a gorgeous, hand-drawn Dieselpunk backdrop. Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age will launch on Switch at a later date, but today brings us a new trailer that highlights Ruby. With even MORE new rocket-powered tricks since last time she was playable, she’ll be able to skate all over her competition with ease.
The bustling metropolis of New Libertis, known by residents as The Iron City, is a dieselpunk-inspired technological marvel. This is all thanks to FALCORP Industries, a corporation seeking to usher humanity into a higher state of existence. Of course, this ascension doesn’t include the city’s working class. Left to fend for themselves in the streets of The Iron City, a battle for the fate of tomorrow emerges.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age flips the traditional fighting genre formula by placing 2v2 local and online co-op matches front and center in the arena. The game features 10 playable characters at launch (four of which are available to play now in the open beta), offering distinctly devastating attacks and meaningful shifts to team dynamics and matchups.
With combat playing out across three lanes, strategy is a key element of any Diesel Legacy clash. Will you swap to another lane and surprise attack your enemy from behind, or will you instead retreat to regain your bearings while your partner takes the heat? If your partner does, in fact, take too much heat, they’re not out of the fight completely. Upon defeat, knocked-out fighters can assist from beyond the grave to parry attacks for their teammate, channeling energy to help their ally out of sticky situations.
Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age makes use of Modus Studios’ brand-new proprietary RealMatch™ rollback netcode, ensuring you don’t miss a single punch in any online match. Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age also features comprehensive training and story modes and allows players to go against AI opponents to hone their skills.
Whether you’re looking to simply grasp the basics or analyze hitboxes and the frame data of Diesel Legacy’s crisp, hand-drawn 60fps animations, you’ve got all the tools you need to enter the arena at any skill level. Make a mistake once you enter the arena? Diesel Legacy’s advanced replay system allows you to rewatch a match and jump in whenever you’d like to make sure you don’t make the same mistake again.

Prairie Peaks is usually a haven away from the remains of the kingdom, but starting on May 27th, Spirits and Sky children alike will be called to aid the river that brings life to the area when Days of Nature returns.
For three weeks, Shard Eruptions and the Darkness they bring threaten the health of Prairie Peaks’ waters. Spirits will be on hand to build a device that keeps the corruption from spreading downstream, but it’s up to Sky kids to capture its pollution and stop it from impacting the spaces around the river.
“Well you’re in luck,” we hear you say. “I happen to be something of an expert at clearing away Darkness.” That’s reassuring, because it turns out this Shard Eruption has attracted a new type of Dark Creature—one who’s not as eager for the debris to be cleared from their new home. Be sure to team up and be quick on your feet to dodge them as you aid the river and your fellow players (or alternately let them share their hugs with you, we support your choice of either play style).
As you fly and swim and roll around the area, don’t forget to watch out for event currency! Four can be found around the area each day. Use them to unlock a mask with a splash of glittering blue, and an ocean-themed scarf in shades of sapphire and turquoise.
As for other new and returning items, we’ll have those too! If you’re looking for more new outfit items, the Nature Wave-Touched Hair may add some cerulean to your style, and the Nature Wave Pack captures the movement of a running river in cape form.
Not to mention, all the classics from past years will be back, from the translucent Nature School Cape to the Nature Turtle Pack and even the 2020 original, the vibrant green Earth Cape.
We’re also pleased to share that the majority of IAP items sold during Days of Nature will support real-world cleanup efforts in oceans and waterways. These are the items listed below. A little more than half of the total list price for each item sold will be donated. Of the remaining amount, 30% will cover platform fees and 20% to a portion of development.
New this year—Nature Wave Pack: $19.99
- As a token of gratitude in return, 75 regular Candles are included with the purchase of this charity pack
- $10.00: donated to charity
Ocean Necklace: $1.99
- $1.00: donated to charity
Nature Sonorous Seashell: $4.99
- This placeable item has a toggle to play relaxing ocean sound effects
- $2.50: donated to charity
Earth Cape: $4.99

Nature Glasses Pack: $19.99
- A toggle for these sunglasses adds a bluer tint to the world around you
- As a token of gratitude in return, 75 regular Candles are included with the purchase of this charity pack
- $10: donated to charity
Nature Turtle Pack: $19.99
- As a token of gratitude in return, 75 regular Candles are included with the purchase of this charity pack

Once Days of Nature begins, talk to the Event Guide Spirits in Aviary Village, who can teleport you to Prairie Peaks and offer items to unlock in their Friendship Trees. Don’t forget, you can also head to the Sanctuary Islands area to play the activities from last year’s event, too (in case you need more quality time with the manatees).
Days of Nature begins at 00:00 on May 27th and continues until 23:59 June 16th. We can’t wait to see you in the skies (and in the waters) of Prairie Peaks!

5-year long Joy-Con drift class action lawsuit has ended in a dismissal
A second 4-year long suit was also dismissed
Since the Switch’s launch the infamous Joy-Con drift has plagued the system. The controller problems became so widespread and rampant that several class-action lawsuits were filed at Nintendo and have lasted for years, but it seems none have borne fruit.
Two of the longest running suits Diaz vs. Nintendo and Carbajal vs. Nintendo, filed in 2019 and 2020 respectively, are officially being ended via dismissal with prejudice by the plaintiff. This means that the families have agreed to close the case completely with no chance for reopening in the future. There is currently no word as to why the plaintiff’s have decided to move for dismissal but if new information comes to light we’ll be sure to report it here.
With Nintendo officially announcing that a new system is on the way one can only hope that they will learn from this incident and provide revamped controllers with the next system so that this issue can be left in the past.
Fan attempting remake of Super Mario 64 on the Game Boy Advance (UPDATE)
Eat your heart out DS!
As the years march on it’s always impressive to see how much technology improves and changes. We have computers thousands of times more powerful than the ones used on the moon landing in our pockets, journeys across the country that used to take weeks now just take a few hours, and the most important 3D platformers of all time is being remade for the Game Boy Advance.
A fan by the name of Joshua Barretto has posted a video of a work in progress remake of the acclaimed N64 title running on the Game Boy Advance. As you can see in the above video, while the game is in a rough state, it is still undoubtedly recognizable as the N64 legend. Honestly, the fact that the 3D camera is working at all is imprressive.
In the description for the YouTube upload Joshua gave some insight into the development of the project, you can read it down below.
This is not actually Super Mario 64: it’s my attempt at rewriting SM64 for the GBA.
I initially considered attempting a port, but the GBA is an order of magnitude slower than the N64 and has no GPU or native support for floating-point numbers.
So far, I’ve implemented a basic physics and collision system, along with a fully 3D camera, rasterization, texture-mapping, transparency support, etc.
Because the code is written from-scratch, I should be in a position to release the code into the public domain in the future: although I can’t distribute it with Nintendo’s assets, obviously.
While there was an attempt at a port of Mario 64 to GBA a few years back that project fell by the wayside due to technical limitations so hopefully this project will bare more fruit.
Super Mario 64 is no stranger to fan made projects but it’s always fascinating to see the lengths fans will go to reshape this classic title. It’s works like these that showcase the impact of Mario 64 and we wish Joshua all the luck in remaking the game.
UPDATE: A new look at the project has been shared, and it’s clear that things are coming along extremely well. Get an updated peek at how this fan-made port is coming together in the video below.
