Released in 2023 by Reddeer.Games, Sprout Valley was enthusiastically received by players and has so far seen a couple of updates, including the Valentine’s Day add-on and a larger DLC introducing cows or chickens to the world of Ostara.

This time, however, the creator of the game – Vadzim Liakhovich – has prepared something completely special, which will certainly delight players. For the wonderful world of Ostara will be greatly expanded – three new large biomes like sand, stone and jungle will be added.

Today’s patch coming with Nico’s pets upgrades includes a huge variety of buffs. These cute pets will boost the main character when it comes to Speed, Travel, Luck and Energy. With the new areas, entirely new distinctive animals and plants will be available as well as materials and crafting recipes.

Players for the first time will have the opportunity to find and take new resources – cactus and bamboo. From them, they will be able to create new furniture, dishes – such as cactus salad and useful devices like cactus juicer and automatic bamboo fish trap.

While staying on the topic of fishes, there will be three new specimens to catch like stone fish (stone biome exclusive), sand fish (sand biome exclusive) and jade (jungle biome exclusive)!

Sprout Valley is an adorable farming simulator, in pixelart style. Its protagonist, Nico the cat, has decided to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life straight into nature, to regain peace of mind and find his own place there.

A summer update of the game with a myriad of holiday surprises will be available to players as early as June 24. The game is available on the Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch version of the game features every last morsel of content ever created: all levels, characters, weapons, and modes are here and available in both single player and optional two-player co-op.

Whether you love to play on the big screen TV in docked mode or you want to spend your office break chasing a new high score, it’s always the right time to deliver sweet, sweet justice to the undead menace threatening Cypress Ridge.

While Lydia and Hank, heroes of the upcoming survival horror adventure Outbreak: Shades of Horror, need a break from annihilating the undead, they decide to check out the hottest new game in the Cypress Ridge Arcade for some much needed stress-relief, and hijinks ensue. In Railbreak’s fully-voiced and hilarious Story mode, battle through six acts packed with disgusting, larger than life monsters in an alternate version of Cypress Ridge where the only way out is to shoot, shoot, and shoot some more. Sometimes the fiction is stranger than the truth as you find and use weapons that you would only ever find in an arcade game to hilarious results, fight freaky special infected creatures, and survive insane game-modifying ‘Glitches.’

Unlock additional characters with unique weapons and perks, and take them for a spin in five additional modes. Take on any act from the main Story with another character in Score Attack mode. Survive for as long as you can in the endless Onslaught mode. Endure a randomized version of the main campaign where the modifiers are constant and anything can happen in Glitch Gauntlet. Lay waste to each of the game’s challenging super monsters in Boss Rush. Scratch the itch for a quick round with a unique scenario in Shoutout Shootout. Every mode in Railbreak can be played with traditional rules or with the Time Korrisis game-type where the clock is ticking and slaughtering enemies is the only way to extend your playthrough.

The Nintendo Switch version of Railbreak features full touch support for those who prefer to tap-and-shoot. This control scheme even supports a unique and optional dual-wielding configuration in single player. Dismember zombies and quickly collect hidden items with precise taps for a slightly more relaxed experience. Playing the game’s higher difficulties with touch controls is sure to be an adrenaline rush.

Step back into the arcade, and clean the plagued streets of Cypress Ridge in Railbreak for Nintendo Switch. It’s survival of the fittest, and the fittest brought guns.

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD adds in a Nintendo DS for navigation

Touching (and ghost catching) is good

11 June 2024

Luigi’s Mansion 2, or Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon as it was originally called in the states, made its debut on the 3DS back in 2013. Now, over 10 years later, Nintendo and Next Level are giving the game a second lease on life with a Switch revamp. Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is hitting Switch June 27th, 2024, and it turns out the devs have thrown in something extra special for this remaster.

Having two screens for Luigi’s Mansion 2 made navigation a breeze, but obviously the Switch can’t do that. What’s the solution for the remaster? Well, Nintendo and Next Level have gone in and given Luigi another piece of tweaked Nintendo history. In the original Luigi’s Mansion, Professor E. Gadd gives Luigi a “Game Boy Horror,” a Game Boy Color device that he uses to help navigate the mansion. Now in Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, E. Gadd has come up with a custom Nintendo DS.

Luigi can use the modified Nintendo DS to view a map screen up close and personal, although there is a mini-map on the main gameplay screen as well. It’s not as elegant as the 3DS’ two-screen solution, but it’s the best you can do with a one screen display. Plus, it’s nice to see the modified Nintendo hardware tradition continue in Luigi’s Mansion. That E. Gadd never stops coming up with interesting ideas!

You’ll have to battle your way through the seaside, mountains, caves, and snow to save the Weed N’ Stiff boys! Along the way, a cast of characters from the Weed N’ Stiff universe will help you on your quest. Sort of. At least there’s a lot of WS references and even some of the band’s music in glorious 8-bit.

Save the band from Joe Bobson’s clutches!

Jim & Dill - The Legend of Weed N’ Stiff (under the original title is Weed N’ Stiff) is ranked at #2 on Seth Abrams’ list of best homebrew RPG games!

Take control of the band Weed N’ Stiff, and fight to save Rock N Roll!

Jim Weed and Dill Stiff have had their musical essence stolen by Joe Bobson, singer of the rival band Moo Cow. You need to help the boys get their essence back, defeat Bobson once and for all, and restore the band’s legacy.

Venture from home, throughout the land, to outer space and beyond. Guided by the band’s #1 Fan, you will encounter enemies and mini bosses from the band’s 20+ year history (plus a few new surprises!).

Original game score written by Logan E. Schad, along with some classic 8-bit Weed N Stiff tunes!

Switching up the perspective, Jim and Dill II goes for a platforming action approach to the NES glory, and it does not disappoint! Full of humor, action and great NES style graphics, Jim & Dill II concludes the story started by the first, and feeling like a natural progression for a series during the NES era!

If you’d like to get a closer look at the physical options available for both of these games, you can check out the Premium Edition Games store listings here.

A video game based on the Nicolas Cage-starring horror film Willy’s Wonderland has been announced. While the movie was criticized for taking shameless inspiration from Five Nights at Freddy’s, the game isn’t a FNAF gameplay clone, but rather a 2.5D beat ‘em up developed by Mito Games and published by QUByte Interactive.

Willy’s Wonderland - The Game launches for Nintendo Switch on June 13th, 2024.

Willy’s Wonderland – The Game is a 2.5D beat ‘em up game based on the cult film of the same name, in which a group of Animatronics come to life and slaughter people who dare visit Willy’s Wonderland.

Game features:

  • Fight against hordes of enemies in “2.5D retro beat ‘em up” style inspired by the classics of the genre;
  • Go through Willy’s Wonderland themed stages;
  • Two characters to choose from;
  • Make use of special techniques and powerful abilities;
  • Defeat multiple waves of enemies, as well as threatening bosses in each level;
